'You fired me cause you didn't like me': Overworked employee asks to be paid as much as coworkers, gets fired, rejects boss's request for sit down

Almost nothing good can come from a post-termination meeting. If you have been fired for unjust reasons, and if you are confident that your former employers are well aware that this was unjust, there is absolutely no need to give them the benefit of the doubt and the time of day. They simply do not deserve any grace from you at that point. Who will that serve? Certainly not you.

In this instance, we have an employee who learned about the other salaries of similarly ranked coworkers at the company because they were asked to handle payroll that day. It wasn't because they were snooping around; it was because they were completing an additional request from their boss that day. After advocating for a slight raise as a result of this discovery, the employee was fired not long afterward. Coincidence? I think not. 

The worst part of the story is that the Redditor was completely gaslit after trying to discuss burnout with their supervisor. When their boss asked for the two of them to sit down for a conversation after their termination, the employee stood their ground and refused to give their boss that satisfaction.
