‘My boss is shorting my tips’: Server quits after finding out employer is shorting their tips under the guise of decreasing hourly rate

According to OP, her boss was actually pretty nice, but soon enough, OP realized that may not be the case. It began with less pay than usual, which OP found suspicious. OP approached their boss and asked for a tax form, which was refused upon request. OP's boss's reasoning was that they preferred everything 'stay under the table'. The issue was, OP was making less and less, so OP demanded the tax form anyway. Their boss reluctantly agreed, and that was when OP realize that they were indeed being shorted… and a pretty big amount, at that.
