This person isn't just your average nepo baby, but instead they're pretty knowledgable in their industry, thanks to help from their pa. As the OP writes, they had been working each summer with their dad, spending time learning to weld and rig cell tower antennas, instead of going to summer camp. That's a good way to prepare yourself for the real world. Sure enough, the OP ended up dropping out of college and working for their dad by age 19. 

Then, they met a guy twice their age who really thought he knew better than the OP. This guy may have been knowledgable on his own, but he clearly just wrote off the OP entirely after learning he was a product of nepotism.
