I've probably been the person who says dumb things far more often than I'd like to admit. But one particularly funny one to me now, looking back, happened when I was working morning shifts at the golden arches. It was about six in the morning, and while stationed at one of my first drive thru shifts, I took an order for a person who wanted an "egg muffin." I was like, "We don't sell muffins," thinking of a typical blueberry muffin, not an Egg McMuffin. The person was really confused, and drove away. I did that several times before I realized it was actually the main sandwich on the menu, and I'd been telling people we did not sell such a thing. I'll never forget the shocked look on my manager's face when they heard me say it, I felt very silly. What a true fail for the ages!
