In what I thought was one of the top ten most profitable franchises of all time, but turns out to be THE most profitable franchise of all time, it's more than safe to say that we all have been exposed to Pokemon in one way or another. And that's great!
I imagine there's a lot my current self and my 8-year-old self would disagree on, but I can say we'd get along concerning Pokemon. It's fun, it's addictive, and, once you separate yourself from the idea that the core concept of Pokemon is making animals fight, you can really get absorbed into the wacky universe. I'm not alone in saying that. Just take a look at the colossal fandom that's remained involved throughout the decades.
