Time to get out of the swamp, I guess! When I say swamp, of course I mean the hot mess that is today's toxic work environment. We have all understood that "aha" moment when you realize it's time to get out as fast as possible. When that day finally comes to officially submit your resignation, you want the experience to at the very least be a memorable one. Perhaps you want to stir the pot and cause some drama. Perhaps you want a sentimental goodbye and free gifts from everyone in the office. Or perhaps you want to go out on a humorous note.
That's exactly what happened when this Redditor submitted his letter of resignation, which used a heavily animated Shrek design template. He shared his letter via this Reddit thread, and I think it's safe to say that it was a hit among the audience. Some folks even asked OP to share the design template (that comment and its response are, of course, included below for your reference).
However the manager chooses to respond to this resignation letter says pretty much everything we need to know about their character. Based on the context OP gave about the company, it's quite clear that this is not the healthiest of work environments considering the high turnover rate. Furthermore, OP had been working at the company for four years with next to no raise. At the end of the day, it's quite clear how they felt about OP, and so we applaud that OP decided to channel that value into their final mode of communication. We'll keep you updated if we hear more about the manager's response.
