'It needs to be cleaned up': Hotel guest's kid makes a mess in the hallway, demands front desk agent to clean it up and slams the door in his face

Whatever happened to cleaning up your own mess? It's one thing if you spill a drink at a restaurant and are waiting for a waiter to help clean it up, but it's quite another when your kid makes a giant mess in the hallway outside your hotel room and you try to bother the one person on staff who's inundated with other responsibilities. That's exactly what happened to this poor front desk agent, who shared their story via this thread on Reddit's r/TalesFromTheFrontDesk subreddit. 

For clarity, when we say giant mess, we don't just mean that this kid spilled his clothes everywhere or even that he broke a painting or something. We mean that he vomited, and we're also not just talking about a cute amount of vomit right in front of the hotel room as the Dad initially framed the story. No. We're talking about an endless amount of vomit that extended from the floor elevator all the way down the hallway to the door outside the hotel room. It's honestly impressive to learn that this was even possible. 

The father showed a considerable amount of entitlement when he demanded that the front desk agent stop completing his normal duties and come upstairs immediately to clean all of that mess by himself. It got even worse when the father slammed the door into the front desk agent's face as if to lock himself away and officially refuse to help. At that point, I would have gotten some petty revenge by cleaning most of it up save for a nice little pile right outside the room. However, this front desk agent is a bigger person than I am.
