In the past, the nations of Meowlandia and Wooferonia were rivals, constantly trying to one-up the other with ameowzing and barktastic shows of incredible animal art, as well as displays of wealth and culture. These confrontations would happen in the form of 'friendly' competitions, judged by a panel of unbiased animal friends.
Though these competitions started off in fierce rivalry, they would eventually lead to genuine friendship between the leaders of both nations, which has continued to this day. Now, each noble nation has a strong presence in each other nation, and are seen as true sibling states, with the citizens welcoming each other into their homes just as they would any of their best friends.

Depicted in this painting are the 53rd and 57th rulers of the Meowlandian and Wooferonian dynasties in their infancy. As children, they were constantly by each other's sides, so much so that they were capable of imitating each other's bark and meow.
Even the older generations of Wooferonians and Meowlandians get on with each other perfectly well. They like to gather in parks and play games of chance or to just enjoy the sunshine while birdwatching.
