'I expect my girlfriend to listen to my rules': Boyfriend Demands Monetary Deposit From Girlfriend to Move In With Her Dog

When a couple move in together it's supposed to be one of the happiest times in their lives. It's the official stamp on going one step further than just being in a relationship, it going into a real long term relationship. It sets the tone for something more serious and solid. Well, usually what we mean by serious is in terms of the relationship, but not in this Redditors case.

He decided that when his girlfriend was to move in with him, he expects her to listen to his rules. It went from agreeing to split the mortgage, property taxes, insurance and utilities, to giving him a monetary deposit incase her dog ruins anything in the house, and to agreeing not to store her things in the house's basement because HE wants a gym there - to name but a few. 

Redditors were quick to tell him what they thought of him - telling him he's acting like her landlord not her boyfriend, that he's controlling and unfair, and that she should find her own place.
