Just like how Smeagol forgot that he was a hobbit after being corrupted by the One Ring, the new Gollum game is proof that the realms of men, and video game developers, are affected in the same way by rushed deadlines and a quick buck. Game developers have completely lost the plot with their latest release. Lord of the Rings fans everywhere were thrilled when they announced their new game but were baffled and confused when they saw that the new game would be starring the most wretched, hated, and pathetic creature in the LotR universe: Gollum.
With literally hundreds of powerful, magical, and enchanting characters in the LotR world, it was discouraging that they chose Gollum as the main character of their latest game, but most fans clung to hope until the release came out. Surely they couldn't botch the game that badly after spending so much time and money on it?…. WRONG. The Gollum game is as atrocious, depressing, and un-fun as we all feared, forcing players to be the decrepit slaves of all the bad guys with a terrible plot, faulty game play, and a truly pathetic experience. After being dragged through the mud for making the 'worst game ever', the studio issued an apology for the game.
At this point, they're probably wishing they could simply put a ring on their finger to disappear forever, but disappointed gamers will never forget the shame and dismay of the Gollum game. At least the memes are good.
