When everyone started watching Attack on Titan, it was probably because a friend was raving about it or we saw on Reddit that it was a really good anime. Little did we know, after 4 seasons of trauma, that we would be irrevocably emotionally damaged by AOT. No matter which way you slice it, AOT tricked us into thinking it would be a story about a couple of kiddos trapped in a city with high walls, but then all of the sudden there were nudie, disproportional mega monsters running around eating everybody. Nobody was ready for that. With each episode the show got more and more outrageous and we all got sucked into the world of Eren Yeager, the villainous good guy main character who's questionable decisions actually made sense at the time (it made sense at the time, right?). Don't worry, you're not a bad person for taking the side of the slayers when watching this anime.
If you've never seen it before, just make sure you don't get too attached to any of the characters.
