He seemed irritated that she would even ask and she dropped the notion, imagining some sort of surprise at the end of the weekend. However, when the big Sunday arrived, she was left high and dry, wondering if her husband had completely forgotten the holiday or if he even cared. This rejection stung a little too much for OP to ignore it, so the ensuing argument escalated quickly into what could become a swift divorce.
