"How did we all get here?" Is the common thought crossing many TikTokers' minds right now. This happens often on the app, but has been coming on strong most recently due to one friendly wild animal: The Capybara. This giant cavy rodent is native to South America and is the largest living rodent we know to exist right now. It is known for being chill with basically everyone in the animal kingdom, and can even be seen riding the backs of crocodiles. Is its absolutely homie vibes what is currently making this creature so viral on TikTok right now? Who knows? But the song someone created that is literally just the word "capybara" over and over again is so insanely catchy that you won't be able to stop singing it the second you ear it.
The wonderful world of "CapybaraTok" is being called a "safe space" by users and one of the more calming viral trends on the app. Usually the doom scrolling induces anxiety and false self-diagnosis, but CapybaraTok is just people showing how much they are a fan of this creature and animal education content creators taking this opportunity to educate TikTokers on the animal.
It's actually quite simple to get on CapybaraTok if you're not already. Simply by clicking in this article the AI in your phone will most likely line you up into it. But if that doesn't do the trick, TikTokers are saying it only took them watching ONE video using the Capybara song as their sound to land them on CapybaraTok—and nobody regrets getting there.
