When you start working from home it's easy to fall into the rhythm of your natural work ethic, which may seem "lazy" but there's a catch. For some WFH employees, that means sleeping in late, enjoying midday coffees, and going to the gym at gentleman's hour (9am) to do some light lifting. Those folks still have the same work load as their office kin, so what does their marginal slacking actually mean ? Well, it means that for 1-2 hours out of the day, your work from home buddies are absolutely deranged with productivity, redlining themselves and acting like Adderall-stricken college kids on finals week. WFH folks may seem like they're slacking (no pun intended), but in actuality, they just do 8 hour of work in 90 minutes, a pace that's completely unsustainable. They're not hindered by daily small talk and everyday slow downs at the water cooler, using that time instead to learn macrame.
